We offer training for you to achieve a Rating with the following training endorsements:
The training required for each of these training endorsements varies considerably so we urge you to contact us to discuss the respective program.
This is the entry level for the professional instructor. Unless you have a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or a tertiary qualification in teaching, your training will start with a theory course on the principles and methods of instruction. You will then move into learning how to structure and deliver ground and flight training.
Full time courses run for approximately eight weeks.
Minimum Requirements
At the completion of your training for pilot instructor training you will be tested. Our Testing officer will need to spend a good part of the day with you to test your general knowledge around pilot instruction. If you pass the theory, you will then demonstrate your skills in delivering lessons on the ground and in the air.

Above is a cost estimate based upon the minimum training hours required by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for the issue of a Pilot Instructor Rating with a grade 3 training endorsement. The above cost does not include any textbooks. It should be emphasised that this is a guide only and is not to be taken as a formal quote since the actual training times required will depend upon many factors, especially personal ability.
Prices are subject to change and are plus GST if applicable. All Landing and Towers fees excluding Ayers Rock, Essendon, Avalon and Capital City Primary Airports are included in the estimate.
